Feeding a team is its own kind of problem. The food has to land on time, suit a room full of different diets, travel well across town, and still taste like someone actually cooked it. That is exactly the brief we set out to meet with our corporate and office lunch catering in Singapore — real, home-cooked Indian food, delivered hot to your desks or your boardroom.

At Alif Rasoi every order is cooked the morning of delivery in our Queenstown home kitchen — no central-kitchen trays sitting under heat lamps. Here is how we handle office and corporate catering, and how to plan one.

Boxed Thalis or Sharing Platters

Most office orders take one of two shapes, and you can mix them:

  • Individually boxed thalis — each person gets their own sealed box with rice or roti, a curry, a sabzi, and a sweet. Fuss-free to hand out at desks, and clean for hybrid days when some of the team takes lunch to go.
  • Large sharing platters — biryani, curries, breads and salads in big trays for a proper sit-down team lunch in the pantry or meeting room.

Tell us your headcount and which style fits the day, and we build the menu around it.

A Menu Built for the Office

Office food has to please a whole floor, so we lean on crowd-pleasers that hold up well in transit:

  • Chicken or vegetable biryani — the reliable centrepiece
  • Paneer butter masala, chole, dal — rich vegetarian mains everyone eats
  • Fresh chapatis and rice — made the morning of, not the day before
  • A sweet to finish — gulab jamun or a seasonal mithai

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are always cooked, packed and labelled separately, so the two never mix on the way to you. We handle dietary notes — Jain, no-onion-no-garlic, nut-free — when you tell us in advance, and we can put together a fully vegetarian spread for a veg-only floor.

How Corporate Catering Works

We have kept the process simple enough to sort over a lunch break:

  1. Message us your headcount, date, delivery window and any dietary notes — we reply within an hour during the day.
  2. We suggest a menu, with portions tuned to your numbers. Edit it freely until it fits.
  3. Confirm and pay by PayNow or PayLah; we block the date and start sourcing.
  4. We cook the morning of and deliver hot to your office — CBD, business parks, or the heartlands.

Minimum ten portions, twenty-four hours’ notice for most orders (more for very large ones). Delivery across Singapore is arranged per order, timed to land before your lunch slot.

Why Home-Cooked Beats a Central Kitchen at the Office

Office catering is where mass-produced food shows its seams — lukewarm trays, the same three caterers everyone has tried, food that tastes like it was made yesterday because it was. We cook in small batches the morning of your order, season by taste, and adjust spice to your team’s comfort. There are no artificial flavour enhancers and no MSG, just real ingredients prepared fresh. For a recurring team lunch, that difference is the whole point — see how we think about it on our best Indian food in Singapore notes.

Beyond Lunch: Events, Festivals and Daily Meals

Office catering is one slice of what we cook. When the occasion is bigger — a Diwali lunch, a year-end party, a product launch — the same kitchen handles Indian party food catering at any scale. And for individuals who want everyday lunches rather than a team order, our daily tiffin service brings a fresh home-cooked box to your desk. You will find the full picture on our catering page.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Do you deliver office catering to the CBD and business parks? Yes — islandwide, from our Queenstown / Alexandra kitchen out to the CBD, one-north, Changi Business Park and the heartlands. Delivery is timed to land before your lunch slot.

  • How much notice do you need for a corporate order? Twenty-four hours for most office lunches; give us more for very large or festival orders.

  • Can you handle vegetarian, Jain and other dietary needs? Yes. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian are cooked and packed separately, and we prepare Jain (no onion, no garlic), nut-free and fully vegetarian menus on request.

  • What is the minimum order? Ten portions. There is no fixed dollar minimum — message us your headcount for a quote.
